Gray's Anatomy states that our nerve system directly (or indirectly through our body's chemical and hormone systems) controls the function of every cell, tissue, gland, and organ in the Human body. Doctors of Chiropractic recognize that when bones of the spine, arms, legs feet and/or hands move or function improperly they can through compression or interference overly excite or decrease proper nerve function. This will then throw off the proper balance of our body functions subtly or severely impacting our entire life experience. The purpose of Chiropractic care is to reduce through specifically directed and gentle adjustments those occurances of improper nerve function, called "vertebral subluxations", thereby restoring proper function to the nerve system. Correcting nerve interference opens the door for our body's innate (or inborn), natural life giving, and healing abilities to function optimally.
